The short version

What Data We Collect — and What We Don't

We designed SchengenWeave to collect as little data as possible. Here is exactly what happens:

No personal data stored on our servers. We do not collect or store passport data, names, or personal trip history on our servers. There is no database in the app.

Stored in your browser, not our servers. Trip history and calculator state are saved directly in your browser. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the contact form. Clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data.

No tracking cookies. We do not use cookies for analytics, tracking, or any other purpose. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.

No advertising or retargeting pixels. We do not run Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing tags, or any other third-party advertising infrastructure. We earn revenue through affiliate links to Kiwi.com — not advertising.

Analytics — Plausible (Cookieless)

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are most useful. Plausible is GDPR-compliant by design: it collects no personal data, sets no cookies, and requires no consent banner.

Data Plausible collects is aggregate and anonymous: page URL, referrer, device type (desktop/mobile), country (not city), browser family. No IP addresses stored. No personal profiles built. We proxy the Plausible script through our own domain so VPN users and ad-blockers still contribute to aggregate counts. See the Plausible data policy for full details.

Affiliate Links to Kiwi.com

Flight booking CTAs route through Kiwi.com affiliate links (Travelpayouts / Kiwi affiliate program). When you click a booking link and complete a purchase on Kiwi.com, SchengenWeave earns a small commission. This does not change the price you pay.

When you book through a Kiwi.com link, Kiwi.com receives standard booking-flow data per their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Kiwi.com's privacy and legal pages before booking.

Contact

When you submit the contact form, your name, email, and message are delivered to us. We do not store contact submissions in any database. We will not use your email for marketing without your explicit consent. To have your submission deleted, contact us and we will do so promptly.

Your Rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data. Because we do not store personal data on our servers, exercising most rights means either clearing your browser's local storage (which is entirely under your control), or contacting us to request deletion of contact form submissions in our email inbox.

Updates to This Policy

We will update this policy when our data practices change. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted in the changelog.
