Who Runs SchengenWeave
SchengenWeave is operated by Raul Montilla as a solo project. There is no registered company entity in v1. If you have questions about your data or this policy, please contact us.
What Data We Collect — and What We Don't
We designed SchengenWeave to collect as little data as possible. Here is exactly what happens:
- No personal data stored on our servers. We do not collect or store passport data, names, or personal trip history on our servers. There is no database in v1.
- localStorage — your browser, your data. Trip history and calculator state that you enter into SchengenWeave are stored in your browser's localStorageonly. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the contact form. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
- No tracking cookies. We do not use cookies for analytics, tracking, or any other purpose. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.
- No advertising or retargeting pixels. We do not run Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing tags, or any other third-party advertising or retargeting infrastructure. We earn revenue through affiliate links to Kiwi.com — not advertising.
Analytics — Plausible (Cookieless)
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit SchengenWeave and which pages are most useful. Plausible is GDPR-compliant by design: it collects no personal data, sets no cookies, and requires no consent banner.
The data Plausible collects is aggregate and anonymous: page URL, referrer source, device type (desktop/mobile), country (not city), and browser family. No IP addresses are stored. No personal profiles are built. We additionally proxy the Plausible script through our own domain so that VPN users and ad-blockers still contribute to aggregate counts.
For full details on what Plausible collects and how it handles data, see the Plausible data policy.
Affiliate Links to Kiwi.com
Flight booking CTAs on SchengenWeave route through Kiwi.com affiliate links (Travelpayouts / Kiwi affiliate program). When you click a booking link and complete a flight purchase on Kiwi.com, SchengenWeave earns a small commission. This does not change the price you pay.
When you follow a Kiwi.com link and book a flight, Kiwi.com receives the standard booking-flow data they collect from anyone using their platform. You are subject to Kiwi.com's own privacy policy for that part of your journey. We recommend reviewing Kiwi.com's privacy and legal pages before booking.
Contact Form (Resend)
When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, and message are sent to the founder's inbox via Resend, a transactional email service. We do not store contact submissions in any database — the submission is delivered as an email and that is the only copy we retain (in our email inbox).
Replies come from hello@schengenweave.com. We will not use your email address for marketing without your explicit consent. If you want your contact submission deleted from our inbox, email us and we will do so promptly.
Your Rights under GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access. You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification. You may ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure. You may ask us to delete your data.
- Right to restrict processing. You may ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability. You may request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object. You may object to our processing of your data.
Because we do not store personal data on our servers in v1, exercising most of these rights in practice means: (a) clearing your browser's localStorage for trip history data (which is entirely under your control and never leaves your device), or (b) contacting us to request deletion of contact form submissions retained in our email inbox.
Updates to This Policy
We will update this policy when our data practices change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted in the changelog.
